What is the future urban activist like?
In 2012, Måndag and Kiasma created the School of activism in Helsinki. It’s a series of urban activist workshops and festivals: a platform for youngsters who shape our urban future. Two groups of 30 selected participants – activist, producers, innovators, artists, and all around urban mavericks from all around the globe – come together in a new city each year worth of creative sessions, lectures, and unforgettable urban interventions. We inspired people to take action and solve urban challenges. New cool ideas were created and spread to the people: all work was documented and shared online. Heimo created doers in the participating cities who remain active and involved.
