Our world needs more trees – they absorb carbon, calm the mind and make us feel good. Planting a tree is also an easy way to fight climate change. The more trees are planted, the greater is the positive effect. That’s why we are on a mission to plant million trees to Finland!
The project starts on September 19 from Kiasma, Helsinki, where we will share birch, spruce and pine seedlings to anyone who’s willing to participate the project and curb climate change. The seedlings are shared together with planting instructions. All you need to do is to pick up a seedling, plant it and tell us where you planted the tree. Because planting a tree is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
The idea of the project is based on the Silence Project, an initiative by the Finnish artist Nina Backman. The concept of Million Trees is designed together with Nina Backman and Måndag. Måndag does also marketing and communication for the project.
Million Trees to Finland is organized by Silence Project, Harviala Oy, and Måndag
