How to turn a dementor into an active conversationalist?
In 2010, the Public Works Department was seen as a depressing enemy, not as a party participating in the discussion.The public works department enables the citizens to have a great city to live in and opens a dialogue between the bureaucrats and the citizens about the shared public space. Does this sound like bureaucratic jargon to you? Måndag created a concept for a new communications strategy that brought the department and it’s decision-making process closer to the citizen. The public works department doesn’t talk from top to bottom anymore but rather discusses matters with the locals, supporting their activity in the process and hearing their wishes. The project wasn’t just about refining a communications strategy but more about taking a brand new step in the urban democracy to set an example on how to develop the urban space together with the active locals.
Måndag also redesigned the visual language for the city’s construction sites.
