I am an Afghan/Finnish social-documentary maker, Producer, and Founder of Afghan Women Film Festival-Helsinki.
I grew up in Kabul and worked as an announcer in RTA. I have made a number of Documentaries and TV Reportage for ZDF, Yle2, and many other famous National and International Televisions. In my documentaries, I focus mostly on Women Issues. My First Documentary “Afghanistan Unveiled” was nominated for Emmy Award in 2005.My last documentary project in Afghanistan investigated the death of a female journalist and head of a radio station in Afghanistan.
My aim is to raise the voice of those who face injustice in society
