Global Climate Partnership Fund: Accelerating the Transition to a Sustainable Future

Change Vision
Unlike other impact funds, GCPF has been single-mindedly focused on accelerating the climate transition since its inception. Instead of funding distinct projects, GCPF empowers local financial institutions in developing economies to accelerate their sustainable transition, working hand in hand to set up a local ecosystem of expertise and resources.

Action
GCPF operates a bit differently from most impact funds, collaborating with and learning closely from their global partner network of financial institutions, in 25 countries and counting. As part of the strategy shift that Måndag co-created with GCPF, we embarked on an active listening tour from Tbilisi to Ulanbataar to Quito, and came back with critical learnings that help inform our work going forward. Spoiler alert:there is a lot the West can learn about sustainable practices from the most unlikely places.

Impact
True to the new brand strategy and key messaging Måndag developed, GCPF is articulating its impact by showcasing the impact its partner institutions have had. From reducing reliance on imports and increasing food safety in Mongolia to finding sustainable ways to harness the untapped water resources in Ecuador to provide constant, secure energy, their impact shows how the climate transition is about a lot more than solar panels and wind farms.
Måndag also redesigned the GCPF website, key messaging and visual identity, creating visual assets and tools for advertising. Currently, we are revamping the GCPF’s impact report, introducing a fresh approach to discussing advocacy and climate finance.
