Finnish municipalities have tremendous expertise, knowledge and know-how. How could we transpose this expertise into tangible actions? Klash is a innovation competition which aims to help municipalities solve current and future problems and find new solutions to the well-being of people, the environment and the economy.
Klash is organised by the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities and participating partners. The competition progresses gradually: In the first phase, municipalities participate to Klash by presenting their regional challenge at Klash’s website. The jury chooses four to six main themes and municipalities to host regional competitions. Problems can be published online.
Selected challenges are solved by opening the competition for start-up companies, enterprises, associations, students and other teams. The aim is to find scalable solutions that improve municipal performance and develop new types of services or processes.
The development of the selected solution will be supported by a maximum of EUR 1 million.
